Michigan Main Street partners with Saline Main Street for Bi-Annual Survey

Every couple of years, Michigan Main Street partners with local Main Street organizations to help survey people who live, work, and visit their local downtown areas to see what the community thinks is needed or missing from downtown. It's their way of making sure we're keeping our finger on the "pulse" of our community if you will.

How Survey Results are Used

Not only does Saline Main Street use these results in our strategic planning and business recruitment efforts, but we also share the results with the City. For example, we shared the results of our 2022 survey with the Community Development Department when the City was working on their Master Plan.

We found that the City was getting very similar feedback during their town hall meetings and surveys as we did during our Pulse Point survey, which leads to more confident decision making on the part of our City leaders. It also builds a sense of priority for some projects.

We're Not Trying to Guess Our Way to Vibrancy

In order to make the most vibrant downtown possible, we need to know what our community and visitors alike want to see and experience while they're here. We do not  pretend to know everything our community needs, we'd much rather have the data.

That's why we are asking you to answer 20 questions. It will only take a few short minutes, and will give Saline Main Street some extremely valuable information for how we move into the future.
